Journal Prompt #8

April 20, 2009:-

I began to sketch my dream home and I began to work on the exterior of the home and put some detailing on the exterior, i so far have one bathroom, a swimming pool, garage and my master room but i still need to add the finishing touches to my "Dream" home for it to be a complete. I think that i need to make my home bigger even though I'm focusing on making a one story home i need to make it at least big. I began to add components to the home like windows, doors, furniture, landscape. etc. I'm finally getting the hang of using Sketchup and it's fun to play with.

Journal Prompt #7

April 9, 2009:

Today I began to browse around the web in search of tutorials, which I came across with this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTycE25eV4c. This video just showed the basics of building a modern day simple home from the outside. I began to think of another solution to my problem, instead of building a model of my home with every detail which will take time and will be boring I thought I would a sketch a dream home onto Google Sketchup, it will be easier and more fun to play with since the personal project is due on May 26 which is a month from now. I began to sample out a sketch of my "dream" home throughout this spring break about 10-15 minutes almost every day.
