I found this cool feature on Google Sketchup called 3D Warehouse where you type in anything related to architecture, appliances, etc and downloads right onto Google Sketchup which i got some cool features to my kitchen which i really like and now i have a basketball court and a cool collection of cars displayed. Now the only thing left is the essay which i will be focusing on writing this week.

I began to sketch my dream home and I began to work on the exterior of the home and put some detailing on the exterior, i so far have one bathroom, a swimming pool, garage and my master room but i still need to add the finishing touches to my "Dream" home for it to be a complete. I think that i need to make my home bigger even though I'm focusing on making a one story home i need to make it at least big. I began to add components to the home like windows, doors, furniture, landscape. etc. I'm finally getting the hang of using Sketchup and it's fun to play with.

Journal Prompt #7

April 9, 2009:

Today I began to browse around the web in search of tutorials, which I came across with this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTycE25eV4c. This video just showed the basics of building a modern day simple home from the outside. I began to think of another solution to my problem, instead of building a model of my home with every detail which will take time and will be boring I thought I would a sketch a dream home onto Google Sketchup, it will be easier and more fun to play with since the personal project is due on May 26 which is a month from now. I began to sample out a sketch of my "dream" home throughout this spring break about 10-15 minutes almost every day.

Journal Prompt #6

March 23,2009:

Today I began to actually modeling my home, and began to use Google Sketchup which now i feel a little comfortable in using than before. I followed the different Tutorial guides the program had to offer and began to watch videos online giving me the basic steps of knowing the important keys. I began to model some more rooms and i find this toolbar feature which now gives me all the possibility to choose from whether it is finding the exact distance or simply better views and details of your home up close.
